Service Description
Evidence-based DBT-informed support for children, teenagers, adults, couples, and families experiencing emotional dysregulation, overwhelm, anxiety, impulsivity, ADHD-related emotional difficulties, sensory overload, anger, distress tolerance difficulties, emotional outbursts, and challenges managing intense emotions. Delivered by a BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and Registered Social Worker, sessions focus on helping people understand emotions, nervous-system responses, behavioural patterns, and stress reactions while developing practical skills to improve emotional regulation, communication, resilience, confidence, and day-to-day coping. Support may include grounding strategies, mindfulness techniques, nervous-system regulation, distress tolerance skills, emotional coping tools, behavioural support, communication skills, confidence-building, problem-solving strategies, and psychoeducation to help people respond to difficult situations in healthier and more balanced ways. DBT-informed approaches can be particularly helpful for individuals experiencing emotional overwhelm, impulsivity, ADHD-related emotional regulation difficulties, anxiety, relationship difficulties, sensory overload, anger, and challenges managing strong emotions. Online DBT-informed support is available across the UK, with face-to-face appointments available in Oldham, Shaw, Saddleworth, Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Yorkshire, and surrounding areas.
