Service Description
Professional family consultancy and SEND support for families navigating EHCP applications and reviews, school attendance difficulties, school anxiety, emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA), ADHD, autism, neurodiversity, behavioural concerns, emotional regulation difficulties, suspensions, exclusions, and complex educational or family challenges. Delivered by a Registered Social Worker, BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, and experienced Education Safeguarding Lead, support is designed to help families better understand education systems, SEND processes, emotional wellbeing needs, neurodiversity, and the practical steps available to secure appropriate support for their child or young person. Support may include reviewing professional reports and assessments, EHCP applications and annual reviews, school liaison, mediation meetings, SEND support planning, behavioural support planning, reasonable adjustments, DLA and PIP guidance, therapeutic support letters, safeguarding-informed guidance, and liaison with schools, healthcare professionals, social care services, and wider support networks where appropriate. This service can be particularly helpful for families navigating school anxiety, school attendance difficulties, emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA), ADHD, autism, emotional regulation difficulties, behavioural concerns, SEND processes, and complex educational situations.
