The Challenge:

When we first met Jerri in December 2023, our family was struggling. H, was just 15 and had been out of school for nearly a year, suffering from severe headaches, nausea, and vomiting. H rarely left their room, and despite numerous doctor visits, we had no answers. Even after being referred to CAMHS, we were still waiting for help.

The Outcome:

CBT for anxiety and depression. Following Jerri's observation - Autism assessment and coaching. PIP and EHCP application support

The Date:

9 February 2026

From the outset, Jerri demonstrated exceptional skill and compassion. Weekly CBT sessions began, focusing on H’s anxiety and depression. Remarkably, within just one month, we saw a noticeable improvement in H’s mood and overall health.

Jerri’s keen observation and expertise led to a breakthrough, identifying signs of Autism that others had missed. Jerri conducted a thorough ASD screening and, based on the results, referred H for a private ASD assessment. After H’s diagnosis, Jerri continued to guide us through every step.

Jerri assisted with the PIP application, and thanks to their support, H was successful. Jerri then helped us apply for an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP), advocating for us throughout the process. With Jerri’s unwavering support, H secured the EHCP and was able to enrol in college to study Post 16 GCSEs. Beyond navigating complex systems and paperwork, Jerri provided invaluable coaching and emotional support.

Jerri empowered H, and our whole family, to understand the diagnosis and develop practical coping skills. For us as parents, Jerri offered guidance on how best to support H, helping us learn what to do, and what not to do, to foster their growth. Now, two years after meeting Jerri, H has completed their first term at college, their first in three years! While there have been a few sick days, H’s determination to study remains strong, and their progress is clear.

Weekly CBT sessions continue to provide a safe space for H to discuss challenges and receive ongoing coaching. Returning to education was never going to be easy, but with Jerri’s regular calls, support for anxiety and stress, and the financial assistance from PIP, we can provide H with the aids they need. As a family, we are now much more aware of H’s difficulties and strengths. We know there is still a journey ahead, but thanks to Jerri, we have hope and the right support to move forward.
