Autism Therapy

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurological and developmental disorder that affects how people interact with others, communicate, learn, and behave.

Although autism can be diagnosed at any age, it is described as a “developmental disorder” because symptoms generally appear in the first 2 years of life.

How Can I Help...

I offer a range of approaches for autism therapy & ASD support that can help both children and adults with this presentation:

  • Initial Screening for Autism, if deemed appropriate, referred to a private autism assessor.

  • Post-diagnostic Intervention Therapy – learning about your neurodiverse diagnosis and learning helpful coping strategies.

  • Neurodiversity Coaching.

  • Parenting support and training sessions.

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – Talking therapy which can be adapted for Neurodiverse individuals.

  • Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) can be utilised to work on distress tolerance and emotional regulation.

  • Animal therapy.
