Service Description

What Can You Expect from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)? Our Affordable Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) sessions are evidence-based talking therapy that helps children, teenagers, and adults understand how thoughts, feelings, and behaviours interact. It focuses on identifying unhelpful patterns and building practical strategies to improve emotional well-being, confidence, and daily functioning. All assessments and treatment plans follow current NICE guidelines. As a BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, Social Worker, and clinician trained through Reading University, I adapt CBT to each person’s developmental needs, communication style, and neurodivergent profile. Sessions are structured, collaborative, and goal-focused. Who I Support I offer CBT for children, teens, adults, couples, and families, supporting anxiety, low mood, stress, trauma, OCD, phobias, emotional dysregulation, behavioural concerns, and parenting challenges. Therapeutic Approaches Used Alongside CBT, sessions may include: • Play-based CBT for children • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) • Person-Centred Therapy • DBT-informed skills • Family-focused and behaviour-support approaches How CBT Is Delivered • Online CBT for individuals, couples, and families • Face-to-face CBT in Shaw (Oldham) (clinic-room fees apply and are non-refundable) • Home visits may be possible under the Prior Mindset Travel Policy guidance. Complexity and Additional Fees If a case involves higher risk, complex needs, or increased documentation, additional fees may apply due to the requirement for private clinical supervision at my own cost.
