What Can You Expect from Parenting Support? Our Affordable Parenting support offers clear, practical guidance for families dealing with behaviour challenges, school refusal, emotional regulation difficulties, sleep problems and stress at home. Many parents feel that “children don’t come with instruction manuals,” so support is designed to help you feel informed, confident and less alone. I offer both preventative guidance and intervention-focused work to reduce current difficulties and prevent future escalation. I support parents of children and teenagers experiencing behaviour issues, anxiety, low mood, ADHD or autism-related needs, conflict at home and difficulties with routines or school attendance. My approach is evidence-based and informed by my experience as a registered social worker and former NSPCC practitioner, advising families and professionals worldwide on child wellbeing and safeguarding. I also provide Parenting Support in Oldham, supporting local families with specialist guidance. Key areas of support include: • Behaviour management and strategies for challenging behaviour • Help with school refusal, attendance and reintegration • Emotional regulation and calming strategies • Sleep hygiene and routine support • SEND and EHCP guidance and school liaison • Parenting coaching and parenting courses • Improving communication and reducing conflict • Liaison with schools, GPs, SENCOs, Early Help, CAMHS and Social Care • Guidance on referrals to community and family services • Screening and signposting for private ADHD or autism assessments How Support Is Delivered. Support is available online or face to face. For face-to-face sessions, a clinic room in Shaw (Oldham) must be booked in advance. Clinic-room fees are set by the clinic, not Prior Mindset, and are non-refundable in line with the clinic’s policy. Home visits may be possible depending on the Prior Mindset Travel Policy. Complexity and Additional Fees. If a case requires higher risk management, extensive liaison or increased clinical oversight, additional fees may apply due to the need for private clinical supervision at my own cost. Any changes are discussed during assessment and reviewed if needs evolve.
